DAY 1: After completing our local pick-up route we head towards York, with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route. Aiming to arrive at our hotel in suitable time to freshen up before dinner.
DAY 2: In the morning we visit Eden Camp, an award-winning attraction that transports you back to the sights, sounds and smells of wartime Britain. From there, it’s on to Castle Howard – a magnificent 18th century residence set within 1,000 acres of breathtaking landscape.
DAY 3: The highlight of today is a journey on the Wensleydale Railway. From the lowland Vale of Mowbray to the upland splendour of the famous Yorkshire Dales, this rural railway line passes through market towns, small villages, woodland and farmland.
DAY 4: Today we visit the World of James Herriot. Walk through his fully-restored 1940s home and surgery in Thirsk and travel back in time to what life was like when he was practising.
DAY 5: Today we say farewell to our hosts and make our way homeward with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route. Aiming to arrive back in Kent late afternoon.
