Herne Bay is the first destination of the day. Only seven miles from the historic city of Canterbury, with two miles of splendid coastline offering seaside favourites such as candyfloss, ice cream parlous, cafés and friendly local pubs.
In the afternoon, the coach heads to Whitstable. Its main claim to fame is its oysters which remain an intrinsic part of this sea town’s character. Oysters and other delicacies from the sea can be enjoyed at the local restaurants and pubs.
