Cricket St Thomas
The scene of much of the famous TV comedy, To The Manor Born, Cricket St. Thomas was also frequently visited by Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton.
This classic country house is set in splendid parkland, with colourful gardens, lakes, and a unique woodland area.
The hotel provides extensive entertainment, including nightly live performances, and excellent dining venues, including The Granary which is set in a pretty walled garden.

Think of Somerset and what comes to mind – stunning views across open countryside, sandy beaches, superb strawberries, Cheddar cheese and cider? Worldwide, it is famous for Glastonbury Festival, illuminated carnivals, Mulberry handbags and Arthurian Legends.
You will be astonished at the variety of landscape, architecture and culture to be found. From coastal cliffs to moorland; from cityscapes to village greens and from arts festivals to agricultural shows – Somerset really does have it all.
DAY 1: After completing our local pick up route we head towards Somerset, with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route. On arrival at our hotel there’s time to freshen up before dinner.
DAY 2: Today we head to Sidmouth a town caught still in a timeless charm. Sitting along an impressive coastline maybe enjoy a stroll along the promenade. From Sidmouth we visit the donkey sanctuary, see for yourself how the charity make a profound difference to the lives of many donkeys.
DAY 3: Today we travel to Dorchester, for market day, a town with one foot in the past and another firmly in the future. We then head to Weymouth, whether it’s a bracing walk along the seafront or a spot of shopping – there’s plenty to see and do in Weymouth.
DAY 4: Today is one to spend at your leisure. There is a lot to do in and around the resort.
DAY 5: Today we say a fond farewell to our hosts and make our way back to Kent with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route.
