Howden Court Hotel
A family-run hotel in the centre of Torquay, Howden Court is set in a beautiful garden with access to the private pathway to Torquay seafront and Torquay Harbour.
Built in 1860, it is a period Grade II listed property and retains many of the architectural features of the day.
Our holiday coincides with the Land Cruise, a themed-week at the hotel, featuring flags, fashion and food from a different country each day.
• Luxury coach travel to and from Torquay
• Half board accommodation for four nights
• Excursions to Eden Project and Plymouth, with a harbour cruise
DAY 1: After completing our local pick-up route we head towards Torquay, with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route. Aiming to arrive at our hotel in suitable time to freshen up before dinner.
DAY 2: Today is yours to spend in the resort. Take a wander down to the sandy beaches or enjoy some retail therapy in town.
DAY 3: Today we visit Plymouth, known as Britain’s Ocean City Discover its maritime history, such as its connections with Sir France Drake and the Spanish Amada, to the Mayflower sailing in 1620. Alternatively, enjoy its modern and cosmopolitan culture with shops and bars, or visit the Barbican for quaint cobbled streets and picturesque harbour. Whilst here we will take a delightful cruise round the harbour – there’s no better way to see this city than from the sea that shaped it!
DAY 4: Today we visit The Eden Project where you’ll rediscover the natural world as you’ve never experienced it before. Explore massive covered Biomes to trek through the world’s largest indoor rainforest and immerse yourself in the calm fragrance of the Mediterranean Biome. Enjoy extensive outdoor gardens, contemporary artworks, performance, storytelling and pick up inspiring ideas to take home.
DAY 5: Today we say a fond farewell to our hosts and make our way homeward with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route. Aiming to arrive back in Kent late afternoon.
