Maldron Hotel Newcastle is a four-star hotel ideally located in the heart of Newcastle City Centre, within minutes’ walk of many shops, restaurants, bars and popular tourist attractions.

DAY 1: After completing our local pick-up route we head towards Northumbria, with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route. Aiming to arrive at our hotel in good time to freshen up before dinner.
DAY 2: Jump on board for a guided coach tour of Northumbria’s hidden gems, beginning with a one-mile causeway crossing to Holy Island, a 1,000-acre, unspoiled medieval island and the epicentre of Christianity in Anglo-Saxon times.
After free time – a chance to purchase lunch – we head back to the mainland and arrive at the Heatherslaw Light Railway for a 20-minute single journey on ‘the most northerly steam railway in England’, running along the banks of the River Till, giving you stunning views of the Northumbria countryside.
Thereafter, we head to Lady Waterford Hall – prepare to be amazed by the life-sized watercolour murals that line the walls of the building.
DAY 3: Set off aboard the Prince Bishop River Cruiser on the beautiful River Wear on a spectacular hour-long scenic cruise that passes by a great many of the city’s most celebrated sights from the unique perspective aboard a handsome vessel. After our cruise free time at Prince Bishops shopping centre – a chance to purchase some lunch.
DAY 4: A day at leisure. Why not head into the city centre for inspiring heritage, fantastic shopping and acclaimed architecture?
DAY 5: Today we head for a full day at Beamish, a world famous open-air museum, telling the story of the life in north east England in the 1820s, 1900s, 1940s and 1950s.
DAY 6: We say a fond farewell to our hosts and make our way homeward with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route.
