About Warwickshire
Revel in the heart of Shakespeare’s England.
Warwickshire is famous for its signature motte-and-bailey forts and romantic Elizabethan love nests with gatehouses and towers.
It’s a place where you can step back to the Middle Ages, with streets overhung by timber-framed houses and market squares.
Itinerary
DAY 1: After completing our local pick-up route we head towards Wellsborough, with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route. Aiming to arrive at our hotel in suitable time to freshen up before dinner.
DAY 2: Today we visit the RHS Malvern Spring Festival (pictured). Set against a backdrop of the magnificent Malvern Hills, the popular event is packed with flowers, food, crafts and family fun.
DAY 3: Our first visit of the day is to the Garden at Miserden for a guided tour. Winner of Historic Houses Garden of the Year 2018, this timeless garden has spectacular views over a deer park and rolling Cotswold hills beyond.
From there, we head to Stratford Upon Avon to enjoy the charm and beauty of historic Shakespeare’s hometown with Bancroft Cruisers. On your river cruise you pass through Stratford’s two historic bridges, Clopton and Tramway, wend your way past the Royal Shakespeare Theatres down to Holy Trinity church where William Shakespeare is buried and then return upstream into the pretty Warwickshire countryside.
DAY 4: After breakfast, we make our way homeward with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route. Aiming to arrive back in Kent late afternoon.
