About the Lake District
With stunning landscapes, lakes, mountains, coastline, and historic sites, there’s no better place to come and unwind from the daily stresses.
It is one of the most popular breaks for people across the UK and from further afield. With 12 of the largest lakes in England and 3,105 kilometres of rights of way, this is truly one of Britain’s breathing spaces.
DAY 1: After completing our local pick-up route we head towards Shap, with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route. Aiming to arrive at our hotel in good time to freshen up before dinner.
DAY 2: This morning we will visit the Laurel & Hardy Museum, followed by an afternoon at the Clarks Village at Kendal.
DAY 3: Today we head to Keswick. This pretty market town offers a wide range of attractions for visitors, from shops and restaurants to museums with a difference.
DAY 4: On the penultimate day we will enjoy a scenic lake cruise from Bowness-on-Windermere, with informative commentary. There will be some free time in Windermere after the cruise.
DAY 5: We say a fond farewell to our hosts and make our way homeward with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route.
