About West Coast Scotland
Discover the beautiful west coast scenery on this island hopping tour, with miles of unspoiled coastline, rolling green hills and lovely villages and towns.
The ferry crossings give an opportunity for panoramic views of the wonderful coastline and offshore islands.
DAY 1: After completing our local pick-up route we head towards our overnight stay in Preston. We will have suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route.
DAY 2: We travel to Oban before taking the afternoon ferry to Mull. Soak up the scenery on the way to the Isle of Mull Hotel for a two-night stay.
DAY 3: Today we enjoy a scenic excursion around Mull, including a foot passenger crossing to the legendary Isle of Iona, burial place of 48 ancient Scottish kings.
DAY 4: After taking the morning ferry back to Oban, we head towards Irvine, via Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. There will be suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route. Checking into our second hotel in good time before dinner.
DAY 5: Today we head to Wemyss Bay for a ferry crossing to Rothesay on the Isle of Bute. From there, it’s on to Mount Stuart House – a 19th-century mansion with extravagant interiors and expansive gardens. We then get the ferry back to Wemyss Bay and return to the hotel.
DAY 6: Today we say a fond farewell to our hosts and make our way to our overnight stop in Darlington. We will have suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route.
DAY 7: We continue our journey home with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route. Planning to arrive back into Kent early evening.
