Itinerary
DAY 1: After completing our local pick up route we head towards the South coast to catch our ferry to the Isle of Wight, with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route. On arrival at our hotel there is suitable time to freshen up before dinner.
DAY 2: Today we visit Newport. The historic town centre on two elegant squares with Georgian and Victoria architecture surrounding them, with the town’s quay a short distance away. After Newport, the coach departs for the second destination of the day, Cowes – the most northern town on the Isle of Wight. It has the unique feature of being split into two by the mouth of the River Medina.
DAY 3: Today we travel to Godshill for the morning with its delightful medieval church, charming thatched roofed cottages and a winding main street lined with traditional tearooms. Godshill is a picturesque as it is popular.
DAY 4: Today we do an Island tour. Potter through the villages and discover the picture postcard side of the island, each with their very own unique character and heritage.
DAY 5: Free day at leisure, a chance to sightsee around Shanklin. The Old Village – a ten minute walk from the hotel – has independent shops, restaurants and pubs.
DAY 6: Today we say a fond farewell to our hosts and make our way back to Kent with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route.
