‘A town caught still in a timeless charm’
That was the Sidmouth that captivated the Poet Laureate, John Betjeman, and it will captivate you, too.
Beautiful gardens and leisurely walks, Regency history, clean beaches and friendly shops…. it’s all here in this lovely seaside town that nestles beneath majestic red cliffs and the green hills of the glorious Sid Valley.
DAY 1: After completing our local pick-up route we head towards Devon, with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route. Aiming to arrive at our hotel in good time to freshen up before dinner.
DAY 2: This morning we visit the seaside town of Seaton, gateway to the Jurassic coast. Maybe enjoy a tram ride at Seaton Tramway or just enjoy the fabulous coastline. In the afternoon we visit the donkey sanctuary, see for yourself how the charity make a profound difference to the lives of many donkeys.
DAY 3: Today we travel to Dorchester, for market day, a town with one foot in the past and another firmly in the future. We then head to Weymouth, whether it’s a walk along the seafront or a spot of shopping – there’s plenty to see and do in Weymouth.
DAY 4: A day at leisure.
DAY 5: We say a fond farewell to our hosts and make our way homeward with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route. Aiming to arrive back in Kent early evening.
