About The Cotswolds
The Cotswolds are scattered with small pretty towns and villages providing pleasant places to while away the time, easily identified by its mellow stone buildings.
Among the charming countryside you will find a wealth of interesting places to visit, including magnificent castles, ancient churches, glorious gardens, stately homes with historic houses.
DAY 1: After completing our local pick up route we head towards Swindon, with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route. On arrival at our hotel there is time to freshen up before dinner.
DAY 2: Today we visit Cirencester. Once one of the most important places in Roman Britain, second only to London, the town remains an important regional attraction and claims the title The Capital of the Cotswolds.
DAY 3: Today starts in Oxford, with free time to explore this beautiful city of stunning architecture, culture and history. Reconvening mid-afternoon, there’s a 40-minute cruise along the River Thames to Iffley Lock and back.
DAY 4: The penultimate day starts with a two-hour cruise of the Kennet and Avon Canal. As you watch the world go by, refreshments will be served. In the afternoon, spend some time in Newbury. Set along the banks of the River Kennet, it has a fresh, rural atmosphere combined with great shopping facilities and attractions.
DAY 5: Today we say a fond farewell to our hosts and make our way back to Kent with suitable lunch and refreshment stops en-route.
